Who is Christian Oliveira?

- I help co-organize an SEO meetup in Lisbon, Portugal, I also own with my partner a travel website (Randomtrip) where we publish really detailed and complete travel guides about destinations in more than 5 languages
Christian Oliveira is a freelance SEO consultant. In this role, I help clients grow their traffic/revenue from the SEO channel. I have been working as a freelance SEO consultant for more than 10 years, and prior to that I worked in-house for several companies in the news and travel industries.
I also help to co-organize an SEO meetup in Lisbon, Portugal, and apart from being an SEO consultant, I own with my partner a travel website (Randomtrip) where we publish really detailed and complete travel guides about destinations in more than 5 languages
Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry
- SEO is an area where multiple skills are required (or at least desirable), but the most important one, in my opinion, is to be curious and try to test things on your own. Create a website, create content, do your own analysis, try to get brand exposure, etc. You will learn a ton by doing this and you will understand and empathize with all the other areas (PR, Technical, Content, etc.) and will get better communicating and collaborating with other people.

First Job
- My first job was in internship as a web developer in Telefonica Spain. I first heard about SEO while applying for my next job at several web developer openings in SEO agencies, and one of those agencies offered me the possibility of working in a junior position as an SEO Consultant.
Cool Fact
- I love travelling, and one of the reasons I started working as a Freelance SEO Consultant was to be able to travel while working at the same time! Me and my partner left our office jobs to start travelling (our first big trip was one year travelling through Asia) and we got a new project and income out of that, our travel website Randomtrip.
