Deborah Oyewole is a freelance content writer for SaaS and Tech brands, specializing in the Martech, Productivity, Edtech, and CRM niche. In this role, I partner with clients to turn their ideas into valuable content asset that drive conversions and sign ups. In situations where clients need support with blog topic ideas, I take on the role of a content strategist, conducting competitor research and customer-led content analysis to curate relevant topics for their brand.
My main area of focus in the digital space is Content Writing and SEO. I started as a freelance content writer before upskilling with SEO trainings. With over four years of writing experience for SaaS and tech companies (and more than two years in SEO,) I help brands creatively communicate their unique value to their target audience through the power of words.
I have a solid background in education and teaching, making explaining complex terms in simple nd easy to understand manner my forte. This super power allows me to support tech brands in simplifying their technical terminologies into an understandable, clear, and engaging content that drives action.
Outside of work, I’m discovering new ideas and products to help me become a better time manager. The fun part of this discovery is telling others about how it can help them, too. In life, I spend time with my family, read books, and try out new recipes.

Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry
- If you’re just joining the industry as a content writer, start with a strong purpose. This may be difficult to figure out from the get go. I recommend talking to people that have been in the industry for a while to tap from their wealth of knowledge. You can review LinkedIn profiles of professionals in the field or ask questions in communities like WTSEO, FCDC, TOFU, and Search Africon.
- Put yourself on a learning curriculum that allows you to learn by doing. If you don’t know where to start from, leverage your social media platforms to make a post about your confusion, and I believe experienced writers can share valuable tips with you. Vulnerability works!
- Please don’t forget to build in public by sharing your milestones, learning challenges, new discoveries, and what you wish you’d learnt earlier.
- Lastly, build your portfolio. If you don’t know how a portfolio in your niche should look like, ask people.
- And one last piece of advice, stay curious!
