Sarah Fuller is a Senior SEO Content Editor on Wayfair’s Organic Search team. In this role, I’m responsible for coaching a team of writers to produce engaging and conversion-driven articles, reviewing content for keyword intent, and revolutionizing Wayfair’s content strategy. This involves coming up with new things to test in our content, analyzing performance, and rolling out new workflow processes to ensure we’re always at the forefront of industry trends, efficient, and ranking in search engines. I am also leading our SEO content team’s AI initiative, and have tested numerous tools for quality and efficiency. I’m actively advising on the creation and upkeep of an internal AI tool used to help our writers code their articles for publishing on our CMS.

I’m a seasoned eCommerce marketer with nearly a decade of experience in brand strategy and copywriting. I have a passion for helping customers find what they’re looking for, and for helping brands communicate better with their customers.

My bread and butter is utilizing data to innovate and drive creative decision-making – this is why I love this industry. There are so many opportunities to take what people are looking for, and what interests them, and turn it into killer content that performs, helps, and entertains.

When I’m not nerding out at work, you can find me in the yoga studio, with my nose in a book (or two), or spending time outdoors – I love hiking, kayaking, biking – all the activities. I’m a self-proclaimed adventurer and thrive when I’m seeing new places and trying new things. I’m a big fan of Boston sports (specifically the Celtics!) and Taylor Swift.

Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry

My biggest piece of advice is to set up casual chats with as many people as you can to learn!

While I’ve worked in marketing for a long while, I’ve only been focused on SEO for a little over 2 years. Having more tenured peers to ask questions and gain insights – and just learning tips and tricks – was so valuable.

There are also many great free resources out there – SEMRush has a slew of hour-long courses so you can get your feet wet on a variety of industry topics. Joining a community on social media is also helpful, so you can keep yourself in-the-know on algorithm updates, industry news, etc.

Follow people, participate in conversations, ask questions, and introduce yourself!
